Miami wide receiver Phillip Dorsett suffered a partial MCL tear and will miss the next 4-6 weeks, according to the Miami Herald.
Dorsett, who leads the team with a 20.9 yards-per-catch average, went down in the first half of the undefeated Hurricanes 27-23 win over the North Carolina Tarheels. Miami coach Al Golden said he was worried the injury would be more severe:
“Last night it did not look good,” Golden said of Dorsett’s injury. “We’re all relieved and I know he is. We’re all disappointed, but he’ll go through the adversity and be back. Certainly it could have been far worse.”
